The Construction, Design and Management (CDM) Regulations were introduced to place focus on ensuring the safe design and construction of a building or refurbishment project, from feasibility through to completion. Project Design Consultancy are sufficiently competent to carry out the role of ‘Principal Designer’ to ensure that the clients’ responsibilities under the CDM Regulations are complied with. This includes preparation of all pre-construction information, risk assessments, method statements, notification to the HSE and Contractor compliance.
